Several boy scouts were accidentally electrocuted at a camping site in Abong-Abong, Zamboanga City, on the morning of Thursday, December 12, 2024. The city government, under Mayor John Dalipe, must assume responsibility for this incident.
According to initial reports from barangay officials and the police, the victims were carrying equipment for their tents when they inadvertently came into contact with a low-hanging power line, resulting in the electrocution.
They were promptly assisted by fellow boy scouts and scout masters, and emergency responders from the local government unit of Zamboanga City quickly transported them to a medical facility.
Authorities have confirmed that three students tragically lost their lives in this incident.
