ALVIN, also known as the “Kwek-kwek Man” who went viral for urging authorities to cut the prices of fishball, kikiam, and other street food during Sunday’s anti-corruption rally in Manila, has been identified as a person with disability who depends on daily medication.
He is among the more than 200 protesters detained at the Manila Police District (MPD) after his arrest for still-unclear reasons.
Lawyer Sol Taule, in a Facebook post, said Alvin’s mother, who waited outside the Manila Police District (MPD) headquarters in heavy rains, showed her Alvin’s PWD ID and pleaded that his medicine be delivered to him.
