Nanatiling nasa kritikal na kalagayan si Pope Francis.
Ayon sa pahayag ng Vatican, patuloy na nakikipaglaban ang Santo Papa sa sakin na double pneumonia at nagpapakita ng “initial, slight insufficiency” sa kidney function.
Nabatid na sinalinan ng dalawang unit ng dugo ang 88-anyos na Santo papa matapos makaranas ng prolonged asthma-like respiratory crisis.
Isinugod sa Gemelli hospital ang Santo Papa noong Pebrero 14.
“The condition of the Holy Father remains critical; however, since last night he has not experienced further respiratory crises,” pahayag ng Vatican.
“The complexity of the clinical picture, and the necessary wait for the pharmacological therapies to show some effect, require that the prognosis remains guarded,” dagdag ng statement.
Sinabi pa ng Vatican na “alert and well-oriented” naman ang santo Papa at binibigyan ng “high-flow oxygen therapy” sa ilong.
