
Nagbabala ang environmental group na EcoWaste coalition sa publiko na mag-ingat sa pagbili ng unofficial Labubu toys na naglalaman ng mapanganib na ‘lead.’
Sa Facebook post ng EcoWaste, nagpaalala ang grupo na maging mapagmatyag ang publiko sa pagbili ng murang Labubu items.
“The EcoWaste Coalition has called attention to the unauthorized and unlabeled Labubu-inspired articles proliferating in the marketplace as some of them may contain lead, a toxic chemical,” saad nito sa kanilang post.
“As businesses take advantage of the soaring popularity of the furry elf toy, unofficial Labubu-inspired items have sprouted all over Divisoria, Manila, the nation’s budget shopping hub, observed the group, which has been monitoring the market for potentially hazardous toys,” dagdag nito.
Mula kasi sa 42 produktong nabili ng EcoWaste sa mga tindahan sa Divisoria, Manila, napag-alaman na naglalaman ng lead mula sa isinagawang X-ray fluorescence (XRF) screening ang mga Labubu-inspired items.
Nagdudulot ng masamang epekto sa katawan ng tao ang exposure sa lead, mas lalo na sa mga bata.
Damage sa utak at central nervous system na maaaring mauwi sa coma, convulsions, at kamatayan ang magiging epekto sa tao ng mapanganib na element na lead.
