JOHN WAYNE SACE – The former actor was arrested in Pasig following a shooting incident.

According to a report from the Pasig Police, relayed by Emil Sumangil of Balitanghali, Sace allegedly shot the victim, Eugenio, four times with a .45 caliber pistol around 7:30 PM. Authorities apprehended Sace hours after the incident in a nearby hotel based on leads from investigators. The weapon used was also confiscated. Preliminary findings suggest that Sace and Eugenio had a longstanding feud, which could have escalated to the fatal confrontation.

This isn’t Sace’s first brush with violence. In 2016, he survived an ambush in Pasig where his companion was killed. Following his arrest, Sace was transferred to the Eastern Police District headquarters for a paraffin test, which will help determine his involvement in the shooting. The Pasig Police continue to investigate and gather further evidence regarding the case.

Meanwhile, John Wayne Sace is a Filipino actor and dancer who gained fame as a child star and later became a teen idol under ABS-CBN’s Star Magic talent management. He was also a member of the all-male dance group AnimE on the variety show ASAP, performing alongside actors like Rayver and Rodjun Cruz. Although his early career showed promise, Sace’s journey faced setbacks due to personal challenges.

Raised by his grandparents in the Philippines while his family lived in the United States, Sace encountered life hurdles, including a separation and later reunion with his non-showbiz wife, with whom he has three children. In 2016, he was injured in a shooting in Pasig where his friend was killed. Both were reportedly on a police watchlist due to alleged drug involvement. Despite these challenges, he returned to acting in 2021 with a role in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

Throughout his career, Sace has appeared in various television series like Wansapanataym, Maalaala Mo Kaya, and Forevermore, as well as films like Dekada ’70, where he won a Metro Manila Film Festival award for Best Child Performer. His latest project includes a role in the 2024 series Pamilya Sagrado.
