
Naga City – The mayor of Naga City has ordered the forced evacuation of his constituents after torrential rains hit the city due to Tropical Storm Enteng.
Mayor Nelson Legacion announced the forced evacuation through a Facebook post Sunday night, September 1.
Legacion cited that the rain intensity in the city on Sunday night reached 250mm in 24 hours, which is equivalent to what they typically experience in two months’ time.
If the rains continue, it could reach up to 400+mm, leading to higher level of flooding.
Legacion added that they are also anticipating the possible landfall of Enteng in Camarines Sur late Sunday or early Monday, the center hitting Partido with wind gust hitting up to 70 kph.
