NBI discovers third “Alice Guo” in Database

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday said it has found a third person named “Alice Leal Guo” who applied for an NBI clearance in 2005.

NBI Director Jaime Santiago said the third fingerprint record of an “Alice Guo” from 2005 did not match the fingerprints of suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.

Santiago said the NBI is still looking into the motive of the third individual and if she was ordered to apply for a clearance.

The NBI director also asked the public to come forward if they have any information on the woman in the NBI clearance.

Santiago said this was a separate NBI clearance from what the Bamban Mayor applied for in 2021, and Chinese national Guo Hua Ping, recorded in 2006.

The NBI earlier said that the fingerprints of Mayor Guo and Guo Hua Ping were identical, solidifying the theory that they are the same person.

“Meron pang isang Alice Guo na kumuha ng clearance in 2005. Remember that yung [alien certificate of registration] niya na naka-file sa amin is 2006. Kumuha si Alice Guo 2021 ng clearance. Merong kumuha ng clearance 2005, Alice Guo din,” Santiago said in a press conference on Wednesday.

“Nakapaglabas na po kami ng dalawang result ng, yung fingerprint ng dalawang impression niya na iisa nga,” he added.

Guo is at the center of the Senate investigation into the raided POGO hub in Bamban after several documents showed that she was personally involved in the processing of documents for its operations.
