Nasungkit ni Philippine bet Chelsea Manalo ang kauna-unahang back-to-back win ng bansa sa Best in National Costume sa Miss Universe.
Binalandra ni Chelsea ang “Hiraya” costume na gawa ni Manny Halasan na sumasalalim sa mga relihiyon ng Kristiyanismo at Islam sa Pilipinas.
Binurda sa tela ng damit ni Chelsea ang imahe ni Black Madonna o ang Our Lady of Antipolo o Our Lady of Good Voyage na kung saan deboto mismo ang Miss Universe Philippines candidate.
“Proudly representing their homeland! The National Costume is a way for contestants to share their country’s story, traditions and values with the world,” saad ng Miss Universe sa kanilang post.
Matatandaang nasungkit din ni Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee ang Best in National Costume noong nakaraang taon.
Tinapos ni Chelsea ang kampanya sa Miss Universe 2024 sa Top 30 ngunit itinanghal din bilang unang Miss Universe Asia.
