Vice ganda called out Philippine Airlines as she expressed her disappointment after overbooking issue

‘MAG BATO BATO PICK NA LANG KAYO NG STAFF SA COUNTER KUNG SINO SA INYO ANG PAL-PAK’

LOOK: Vice Ganda called out Philippine Airlines (PAL) as she expressed her disappointment after encountering alleged overbooking issues following a trip to Hong Kong.

In a series of posts on X, the “It’s Showtime” host shared her experience and tagged the airline.

“Grabeng pangaabala at perwisyo ang dinulot mo sa masaya sanang trip na ito!!!” Vice began.

“Bakit kayo ganyan??? Ilang beses nyo kaming pinaranas ng overbooking sa puntong di nakasakay ang kasama namin. Ngayon ako naman ang nawalan ng upuan!”

In another tweet, she told the airline just how stressful the experience is for the passengers who actually paid for their flight. “May damdamin pa ba kayo ng malasakit para sa pasahero? Pera pera?”

PAL responded to Vice’s tweets. “We would like to express our apology for the disruption and inconvenience you have faced during what should have been a joyful journey. We truly understand your frustration, and we are genuinely sorry for the trouble this has caused you,” PAL said.

The airline assured the celebrity it was looking into what happened and is in fact investigating the issue with the Bangkok office.

“We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work diligently to resolve this matter for you. Expect to hear from us with updates as soon as we receive information from our Bangkok station. Thank you,” it added.

She retweeted the airline’s response and said “Masaya sana ang bawat alis at pag uwi kung meron kayong malasakit!”

In another tweet, Vice said she literally cried rushing across the Bangkok airport just to make it to her flight, which she nearly missed because of the alleged overbooking.

PAL later responded to Vice a second time, saying it deeply regretted what happened and offered to explain.

Clarifying the flight was not overbooked, the flag carrier explained how it found “two business class seats were identified as unserviceable due to safety concerns” during a pre-flight safety check. They were rendered unfit.

“As a result, you were among the passengers offered a seat downgrade to economy class, a decision made to ensure safety and the operational integrity of the flight,” PAL continued.

Apologizing for the inconvenience and discomfort it may have caused the comedianne, PAL said two other passengers agreed to accept the downgrade offer “allowing you to return to your originally booked business class seats.”

Vice soon saw PAL’s statements in his post, which elicited further ire from the veteran comedian.

“Hindi yan ang sinabi sakin sa counter! Ang sabi ng staff ‘THE FLIGHT WAS OVERBOOKED AND MY SEAT WAS GIVEN TO ANOTHER PASSENGER’,” he said. 📷 Vice Ganda/Instagram
