LOOK: This Belgian Malinois from Panabo City, Davao is being hailed as a hero after he died protecting his family from a venomous cobra.
According to a GMA News report, Yugo was found lifeless in his family’s garage inside the subdivision where his owners Bryan and Cindy Sandigan live, last Friday evening, March 15.
Beside Yugo was the torn pieces of a Samar Cobra, a highly venomous species of spitting cobra native to the Visayas and Mindanao.
Yugo was with his family for seven years. He also left behind his partner Ally, who is currently pregnant.
Many netizens have expressed their condolences to the Sandigan family.
“Dogs are loyal and faithful to their owner.. you’re a Hero ❤️ Run free over the rainbow. Be happy in Paradise FurAngel,” a netizen commented.
“Run free, brave hero! I know how tough it must be for your fur parents. I can’t imagine going through that myself. Condolences to Yugo’s family,” another user wrote.
