On Sunday, October 22, a collision occurred between China Coast Guard (CCG) vessel 5203 and the indigenous supply boat contracted by the Armed Forces of the Philippines, known as Unaiza May 2 (UM2), during a resupply mission.
The National Task Force on the West Philippine Sea has denounced the CCG’s actions, describing them as provocative, irresponsible, and illegal, thereby jeopardizing the safety of the UM2 crew.
